The Jurassic Way passes directly in front of the gates of The Clock Tower on its way from Banbury to Stamford, a distance of 88 miles. The route passes through picturesque towns and villages following a Jurassic limestone ridge.

The Knightley Way really shows off the local countryside, covering 12 miles from Badby to Greens Norton through Badby wood and past the 15th C Fawsley Hall.

Local Pubs & Restaurants

We are blessed locally with a good selection of pubs from local boosers to bastro pubs. Depending on what you are looking for we are happy to point you in the right direction.

The Red Lion, Hellidon - good straightforward local pub, serving unpretentitious food in friendly surrounds. And walking distance from The Clock Tower.

The Kings Head, Napton  - Very popular pub 10 minutes drive away with excellent food and always busy, so best to book. Much frequented by the locals - always a good sign.

The Folly, Napton on the Hill - Charming and mildly eccentric pub by the Oxford Canal. Good locally sourced food and excellent beer.

The Red Lion, Culworth - Local Gastro Pub serving excellent food with friendly and attentive staff. Our favourite at the moment.

The Windmill, Badby - A lovely local pub in a pretty village nearby with a great atmosphere and a well thought out menu offering great food at good prices.

Fawsley Hall, Fawsley - Local Country House Hotel in beautiful parkland with Equilibrium for fine dining and Bess's Brasserie for informal dining. Also serves great Teas in the baronial hall.
